Using WENENU you can attach custom test scenarios to your Azure Site Recovery recovery plans when they are
targeting Microsoft Azure. You can run these test scenarios to make sure that your environment is going to
work when a real disastrous event happens. WENENU boots a virtual machine into your Azure virtual network
which executes your test steps. Therefore, your tests can be performed without inbound connectivity to your
environment.
WENENU offers a convenient interface to construct your test scenarios using the basic test steps such as HTTP,
SSH or various database connections. Besides, you can supply your code to perform more sophisticated testing
written in your favourite language of Python, PHP, JAVA, Javascript, C#. Also, you can define global variables
to easily reuse values or to securely store secrets.
Schedule your test scenarios with the desired daily, weekly, monthly or custom frequency. WENENU will
automatically start your Azure Site Recovery recovery plan in a test failover mode, execute your test steps
and record the results for later use. Once all your test steps are executed, WENENU shuts down your test
failover, thus, you only pay for the cloud resources while the test lasts.
WENENU records the metrics of your test runs to provide you with historical data. You can compare the actual
recovery time to the defined Recovery Time Objective (RTO) as well as the actual data loss to the defined
Recovery Point Objective (RPO). Using WENENU, it is clear how those values change over time and when changes
are needed to align with the disaster recovery plan.
